Our matcha is exclusively sourced from artisans across
Uji and the Kyoto region. 

100% traceable, the raw tencha leaves are carefully selected from small well-established plantations. Each using their own unique combination of heritage and contemporary techniques to achieve a surprising diversity of flavours.

All of our matcha is stone-ground in micro-batches and frequently air-freighted directly to us ensuring that we serve the freshest possible product.


MICHI matcha is always 100% pure, ground matcha tea sourced from Uji, Kyoto Prefecture Japan.

Both our signature ground hojicha 'Kyoto Hojicha' and whole-leaf hojicha 'Loose Hojicha' are sourced from only the highest quality tea plantations in the Uji region and harvested throughout the growing season. Our hojicha is blended and roasted in the town of Uji, Japan
